Competing in horse shows can be a fun way to demonstrate your riding skills and to show off your horse or pony. Horse shows also provide a method by which to measure the riding goals that you set for yourself and add a purpose to your riding and training program.
Whether your aim is to introduce yourself or your horse to the competitive arena just to say that you did it or your plan is to earn points toward year end competitions and championships (or anything in between) horse shows should ALWAYS be FUN!
If you would like to compete with Lupine Farm or come support your fellow riders as a spectator or groom, we have a number of hunter horse shows posted on the calendar page that we will be attending in 2009. We are willing to consider additional shows depending on interest.
This year there will be a new Medal Finals in Maine, The Down East Medals, in nearby Skowhegan. All of the shows that we are currently scheduled to attend have qualifying classes if you want to earn points and compete in the Finals.
Trailer space is very limited, so please book early. For the Down East Horse Show in Skowhegan, multiple trailer trips are possible, so additional space will likely be available. If you have access to your own trailer, you may hire Emily for coaching only.
