Meet the horses!

Our horses are the heart of our program at Lupine Farm.  They are the reason that you all come back for more!  Check back regularly for pictures, for updates on the gang, and for various sale and lease options that are available.  Contact Emily for sale prices or more information.

Bugsy

Lupine Farm is proud to welcome Me Either, "Bugsy," to the family.  Bugsy is a 15.3 hand, 9 year old paint gelding.  Happy to teach you to walk and trot or to jump nicely around a small course, he is a steady confidence builder with a heart of gold.  And just look at that face!  He took on Maine's Hunter Jumper Circuit with a year end fourth place finish in the Easy Does It Division and steady rounds at the Downeast Medal Finals.  Available for lease.

                       Daisy

Daisy is an eleven year old registered Quarter Horse mare who is just shy of being a pony.  Originally from out West, Daisy happily goes both Western and English, and has started over cross rails.  She competed successfully in several shows this year and taught a lot of riders the ropes.  Incredibly smooth gaited and eager to please, Daisy is a favorite.  Very quiet on trails.  Available for lease.

Fiona

Hidden Echo, "Fiona", joined the herd in August when Emily made a routine trip to Hemphill's for grain and came home with a horse.  A sweet 13 y.o. TB mare, Fiona goes English and Western and quickly fit right into the program.  She also quickly found a new best friend - and owner! - in Ali Cole.  Congratulations to the Cole family on the purchase of Fiona!

George and Kenzie

George is actually on the right with the star and Kenzie is looking on from behind.  They are the newest members of the Lupine Farm family and we will add more info (and each with his own photo!) soon.  They are fast friends, talented athletes, and impressive in stature!  Welcome to their owners - Shalegh, Denise, and Aaron.

Ivy

Ivy League, "Ivy", joined us in May.  She is lovely big, bay Thoroughbred mare who is currently for sale by her owner, Hannah Stein.  Ivy is a sure bet in the hunter and equitation ring competing successfully in the pre-children's and children's hunter divisions as well as qualifying her owner for the Maine Children's Medal in 2007 and 2008.  While she waits for her new person, Ivy is a wonderful addition to the lesson program at Lupine Farm.  Contact the farm for more sale information.

Jeeves

Jeeves is a big gelding with a big personality.  Goes Western and English, quiet on trails, and super for lunge lessons.  In his late teens now.  This massive boy makes you feel like you are really riding a horse!  Available for lease.

Mae

Mae is our resident old gray mare.  She is a quiet, thoroughbred in her early twenties who is rumored to have evented in a former life.  She is in semi-retirement.  Available for sale or lease as a companion horse to a good home. *Congratulations to the Cole family on their lease of Mae!

Paloma

Paloma is a lovely Hanoverian mare who joined the Lupine Farm family in April of 2010.  She is 15 years old and has experience as a jumper in a former life.  Currently, she is happy to pack beginners around as they learn to post or compete as a quiet hunter. She even won the Low Hunter Over Fences class this year at the DownEast Horse Show with Emily.  You're sure to like this pretty girl.

Paparazzi

Paparazzi, "Big Papi," is Emily's competition gelding.  He is a 17 H, 13 year old, thoroughbred  with an A+ trot that consistently catches the judge's eye on the flat.  He was Maine's 2008 Amateur Adult Hunter Champion, but he enjoyed staying put at Lupine Farm in 2009 while Emily was focusing on getting students into the show ring!  Possible on-site partial lease available.

Petunia

Meet Petunia!  Petunia is on loan to Lupine Farm and we are excited to have our very first donkey in the herd.  She is sure to win your heart with her big ears and even bigger personality.  Just three years old, Petunia really holds her own with the big girls.

Prizm

Prizm is everybody's favorite lesson pony.  No longer just on loan from Moon Run Farm - she is now a Lupine Farm permanent resident!  Great for riders of all ages and experience levels.  She will teach you to post, pack you around a small course, and take you out on the trails safely.  Available for sale or lease.

Roux

Madeline's Secret, "Roux," is a 4 year old thoroughbred mare who came from a race track in New York.  After spending most of last year simply growing up, she started going under saddle in the fall of 2009 and has proven to be an absolute peach!  She may become a lesson horse, show horse, brood mare, or all of the above.  Keep an eye on this lovely, little lady.  Available for sale or lease.
