Lupine Farm Riding - Summer Day Camp

Do you love horses and summer in Maine?

If the answer is "Yes!", Lupine Farm Summer Day Camp is the place for you.  Each camp day will run from 9-4 with a half day and horse show on Friday of most camps.  Campers will be evaluated on day one and matched with a suitable mount for the week to ensure a safe and productive week of riding and learning.  Camp will include one or two mounted lessons a day, as well as lessons in stable management, general horse care, arts and crafts, and gymkhana (games with horses).  A week at Lupine Farm Camp will foster a love of horses as well as a sense of responsibility as students will be involved in all aspects of caring for their trusty four-legged friends.   Family members are invited to attend a "horse show" on Friday afternoon to cheer on their campers as they demonstrate their newly acquired skills.

Sample Daily Schedule 9-9:30 Morning Meeting to make a plan for the day with camper input 9:30-10:30 AM Chores and prepare to ride 10:30-12 Ride 12-1:30 Lunch and Rest 1:30-3:30 Ride, stable management, arts and crafts, gymkhana (games with horses) 3:30-4 PM Chores and see you tomorrow! * In case of inclement weather, alternative activities may include a trip to the local tack store or watching a horse movie up at the farm house.  One afternoon may also involve a round of mini-golf and ice cream at Hamilton's which is conveniently located just a few doors down from the farm!

What to bring.

- Long pants and shorts.

- Boots with a heel.  (Sneakers and sandals only allowed for activities away from the stable.)

- Swimsuit and towel.  (Just in case the hose and sprinkler seem like a good idea!)

- Water bottle and a packed lunch.  We can keep things in our refrigerator during the day.

- Riding helmet if you have one.  If not, you can use one of ours.

- Riding gloves.

- Sunscreen and bug spray.

- Rain gear  (You never know.)

- A positive attitude and a smile because camp is going to be so much fun!

Session 1:   June 25 - 29 Beginner/Intermediate

Session 2: July 16-20  Jump Camp

Session 3: August 6-10 Horse Show Camp

*LADIES WEEK!* - August 20-24

All regular sessions $375 per week.  Limited to 7 campers per week ages 7-17.  $75 non-refundable deposit required to reserve space.  Balance due June 1 for Session 1, July 1 for Session 2, and August 1 for Session 3.

1.  $50 off your camp week if you pay in full in January! 
2.  $25 off your camp week if you pay in full in February! 
3.  $15 off your camp week if you pay a $75 deposit in January, February, or March!

$25 sibling discount for families with more than one horse crazy kid always applies.

***SPECIAL SESSION FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART!  LADIES WEEK - AUGUST 20-24***

For adult week, we meet 1:30pm-4:30pm*.  Adult camp includes an hour of mounted instruction, a fitness component with a guest personal trainer, lessons in general horse care and horsemanship, and appetizers to end the day!  $50 day or $225 for the full week.  *Flexible - we can also meet 9-12 instead depending on rider's schedules and wishes.
